Aura Lights is a dynamic augmented reality experience intended to serve as a meditation piece. The experience is interactive, where the user can choose an aura that connects to them (whether it reflects their current mood or soothes them). The aura lights fill the user's atmosphere and signal them to look up. The user can also choose music to go along with their aura. 

 

The aura is procedurally generated using a custom shader program—the form of the aura changes based on music and the color chosen by the user. Color psychology has established meaning to various hues. It is a daily practice in industries such as graphic design and film (this piece includes standard color psychology in Western culture). Each color value has an attributed energy level related to emotions, with red having the highest energy. This energy is reflected in the frequency rate of the fractal noise, creating different patterns.

This research aims to understand the correlation between the user's choice and emotional state, furthering the data on color association.
